Known world wide as a beer festival, Oktoberfest is actually so much more! From humble beginnings as a royal wedding celebration to the almost month long Bavarian extravaganza that it has become, the 'Fest has enough beer, pork, merchandise and amusement park attractions to keep you entertained for days. Stay at the Contiki Tent Village in the heart of Oktoberfest territory, have a hot breakfast before you set out, and come and go as you please with regular shuttles to and from the 'Fest grounds. No thinking required, just have fun!

1. Day London to Munich

   We leave London in the afternoon to begin our journey to Munich. We drive through the night to arrive in Munich mid-morning on Day 2 to be greeted by your Contiki representatives and a cooked breakfast. Some time to freshen up before our first view of Munich on our included orientation tour. This evening, why not head to the famous Oktoberfest grounds? (B)

2. Day Munich

   Spend the day exploring the Oktoberfest beer halls - each one serving a different local Bavarian beer. Also, an opportunity to try traditional German foods such as pork knuckle, roast chicken, pretzels or oxen! (B)

3. Day Munich

   This morning, a chance for those who wish to visit one of Hitler's concentration camps as we take an included excursion to Dachau. Afterwards, spend your final afternoon at the Oktoberfest grounds enjoying the festival atmosphere and perhaps try the funfair rides that become an important part of the festival. (B)

4. Day Munich to London

   We leave Munich early this morning to arrive back in London at approximately 10:00pm. (B)
