  1. Day Icon-day1 Anchorage to Denali National Park via Talkeetna

    Meet your Contiki crew and then we are off. We travel north through the Matanuska Valley to Denali National Park. Enroute we'll stop in the quaint community Talkeetna which where climbers begin their moutaineering expeditions up to Mt. McKinley. You will have the opportunity to take a flight-seeing excursion around Mt. McKinley for spectacular view, visit Talkeetna climbing museum and then we are off to Denali where we arrive late afternoon.   2. Day Icon-day2 Denali

    Today is free to explore Denali. Take a bus tour into Denali National Park, experience one of the National Park Service programs, hike or kayak. Hotel (B)
  3. Day Icon-day3 Denali to Fairbanks

    This morning you'll have the opportunity for some white water river rafting before we continue North to Fairbanks, gateway to the Arctic Circle. Upon arrival we'll introduce you to Fairbanks with a city sightseeing tour and a visit to the University of Alaska Fairbanks Museum. Hotel (D)
  4. Day Icon-day4 Fairbanks

    For those wanting adventure and a once in a lifetime experience we have fly/drive excursions that journey above the Arctic Circle and explore not only the gates of the Arctic Circle National Park but also the opportunity to extend your trip to see a native Alaskan Village. You can also stay local and do an extended Fairbanks city tour with a ride on the Riverboat Discovery. Hotel (B)
  5. Day Icon-day5 Fairbanks to Anchorage

    Our drive today takes us back to Anchorage where we will do some city sight seeing and visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center to learn about the original people of Alaska. Hotel (B)
  6. Day Icon-day6 Anchorage to Homer

    This morning we leave Anchorage and head onto the Kenai Peninsula. We'll stop at the Alyeska resort for lunch and an included gondola ride to the top of Alyeska mountain for breathtaking views! After lunch we continue to the beautiful town of Homer located on Kachemak Bay. Hotel (B,L)
  7. Day Icon-day7 Homer

    The day is yours to explore Homer; why not experience a bear viewing flight, halibut fishing or visit the artist community of Halibut Cove? Hotel (B)
  8. Day Icon-day8 Homer to Seward

    Today we drive the magnificent Sterling Highway to Seward. Upon arrival you'll have the opportunity to visit the Sealife Center and explore the quaint town of Seward. Hotel (D)
  9. Day Icon-day9 Seward to Anchorage

    This morning you'll have time for an optional cruise into the Kenai Fjords National Park. You may see otters, sea lions, puffins and whales! Travel this afternoon back to Anchorage where you'll bid farewell to your new friends upon arrival at the hotel. (B)

The Tundra Wildlife Tour is an excellent way to spot the wildlife for which Alaska is so famous: moose, bear, wolves, caribou, Dall sheep and more. Fully narrated by a naturalist, this all day tour travels 53 miles into Denali National Park to the Toklat River. The tour focuses on scouting out the wildlife in the park, in addition to explaining the historical and geographical background of the area.
